On Sunday, September 11th, 2011, an American flag should be displayed outside every home, apartment, office, and store in the United States. Every individual should make it their duty to display an American flag on this tenth anniversary of one of our country’s worst tragedies. We do this to honor those who lost their lives on 9/11, their families, friends and loved ones who continue to endure the pain, and those who today are fighting at home and abroad to preserve our cherished freedoms.
In the days, weeks and months following 9/11, our country was bathed in American flags as citizens mourned the incredible losses and stood shoulder-to-shoulder against terrorism. Sadly, those flags have all but disappeared. Our patriotism pulled us through some tough times and it shouldn’t take another attack to galvanize us in solidarity. Our American flag is the fabric of our country and together we can prevail over terrorism of all kinds
So, here’s what we need you to do .
(1) Forward this email. (Please don’t be the one to break this chain. Take a moment to think back to how you felt on 9/11 and let those sentiments guide you.
(2) Fly an American flag of any size on 9/11. Honestly, Americans should fly the flag year-round, but if you don’t, then at least make it a priority on this day.

545 vs. 300,000,000 People

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.
Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?
Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?
You and I don’t propose a federal budget. The President does.
You and I don’t have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.
You and I don’t write the tax code, Congress does.
You and I don’t set fiscal policy, Congress does.
You and I don’t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.
One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.
I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.
I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a President to do one cotton-picking thing. I don’t care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator’s responsibility to determine how he votes.
Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.
What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The President can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.
The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? John Boehner. He is the leader of the majority party. He and fellow House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.
It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted — by present facts — of incompetence and irresponsibility.. I can’t think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.
If the tax code is unfair, it’s because they want it unfair.
If the budget is in the red, it’s because they want it in the red.
If the Army & Marines are in Iraq and Afghanistan it’s because they want them in Iraq and Afghanistan ….
If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it’s because they want it that way.
There are no insoluble government problems.
Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like “the economy,” “inflation,” or “politics” that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.
Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.
They, and they alone, have the power.
They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.
Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees…
We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

I’m loving my new solar pool heater. Here it is, 9:00pm and 86 degrees out. The pool is 90 degrees and feeling great. I agree that 90 is too warm for a refreshing daytime swim but at night, when the air is only in the 80’s the warm water is very enjoyable…
Orville Smith, a store manager for Best Buy in Augusta, Georgia, told police he observed a male customer, later identified as Tyrone Jackson of Augusta, on surveillance cameras putting a laptop computer under his jacket… When confronted the man became irate, knocked down an employee, drew a knife and ran for the door.
Outside on the sidewalk were four Marines collecting toys for the ” Toys for Tots ” program. Smith said the Marines stopped the man, but he stabbed one of the Marines, Cpl. Phillip Duggan, in the back; & the injury did not appear to be severe.
After Police and an ambulance arrived at the scene Cpl. Duggan was transported for treatment.
The subject was also transported to the local hospital with two broken arms, a broken ankle, a broken leg, several missing teeth, possible broken ribs, multiple contusions, assorted lacerations, a broken nose and a broken jaw…injuries he sustained when he slipped and fell off of the curb after stabbing the Marine.

Tom, Last week, Israel’s Prime Minister told our representatives that Jerusalem MUST remain undivided, making a direct reference to President Obama’s ill-conceived proposal that the starting point for Middle East negotiations must be a return to Israel’s approximate 1967 borders – borders that included a divided Jerusalem. Mr. Netanyahu also told members of Congress in no uncertain terms that Judea and Samaria are part of the ancient Jewish homeland and that the 650,000 Jews living there “are not ‘occupying’ the region.” He rightly criticized the revisionist versions of Israel’s history that are being promoted to lend credence to outrageous demands of “land for peace.”
Mr. Netanyahu’s speech to Congress was interrupted by applause over 50 times, signaling that many members of Congress are hearing the depth of the Prime Minister’s conviction and are responding to his arguments’ truthfulness. ++Worldwide backlash to Obama’s proposal. After listening to Benjamin Netanyahu’s remarkable speech, I immediately thought of Proverbs 18:17, which says, “The first one to plead his cause can seem right, until another comes and examines him.” President Obama presented his proposal to largely return to the 1967 borders in a carefully-timed press conference in advance of the Israeli Prime Minister’s arrival for talks at the White House. Some felt the timing of his proposal was an insult to our Israeli allies while others may have felt what the President had to say was a reasonable approach. But anyone who actually listened to the Prime Minister’s address to Congress would have to say that President Obama’s proposal was completely misguided. Common sense (and, of course, God’s promises to Israel) clearly carried the day! The speech’s reception in the Palestinian camp was predictable. A major barrier to Middle East peace talks has been the alliance between Fatah, the leading political voice of the Palestinian Authority, and Hamas, which both the U.S. and Israel consider to be a terrorist group. According to the Jerusalem Post, Senior Hamas leader Mahmoud Zahar said, “the 1967 borders [are] not enough, [and] asks Obama why he wouldn’t be willing to discuss 1948 borders”! This and other antagonistic reactions clearly show what Netanyahu and the people of Israel face in any “land for peace” arrangement. Such policies have failed time and time again. Understandably, Prime Minister Netanyahu will NOT concede to an agreement reinstating those 1967 borders, which are just as indefensible now as they were then! ++This is a time to BOLDLY stand with Israel.

Courageous The Movie
We just got home from watching Courageous The Movie at a special screening at the Regal Theater in Fort Lauderdale, (Broward County, Florida).
It was great! I loved it and recommend it to EVERYONE! I think it is better than Fireproof…. Maybe I am partial to police movies or maybe it is because it is more about fathers and their relationship and roles in a family. Fireproof was all about marriage. Courageous, is all about Fatherhood! Ok, I’ve said enough….. Go see it!
